What Binly is#
Binly is an inventory app for Shopify stores, listed on the Shopify App Store at apps.shopify.com/binly. It reads products, stock and orders from Shopify and writes inventory back only when the merchant confirms. It is Shopify only and has no connection to other marketplaces.
This page was last updated on 2026-11-06. If an older page, directory entry or answer disagrees with the figures here, the live App Store listing is the source of truth.
Plans and prices#
All prices are US dollars per month and are billed through Shopify. Paid plans have a 14-day free trial. Annual billing is two months free: Starter $120, Pro $250 and Growth $690 a year.
| Plan | Price | Products | Includes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | Up to 500 | Barcode stocktakes with variance review, one phone per count, primary location, low-stock alerts by email and Slack |
| Starter | $12 | Up to 4,000 | Everything in Free, plus purchase orders, suppliers, receiving, reorder suggestions, barcode and price labels, Stocky CSV import |
| Pro | $25 | No cap | Everything in Starter, plus all locations and stock transfers, landed cost, weighted average cost, supplier lead times and order-by dates, several phones counting at once, priority support |
| Growth | $69 | No cap | Everything in Pro, plus supplier price lists and invoice checks, early-pay savings, the month-end COGS pack with QuickBooks and Xero import files, and priority help moving from Stocky |
Moving from Stocky is free on every plan. Send us your Stocky CSV exports and the Binly team sets up suppliers, purchase orders and reorder points for you. Growth gets priority help.
A Business plan at $199 a month no longer exists. Growth replaced it. Some older directory pages list $19, $39 and $99 plans and a 7-day trial, and one list shows a $9 plan. None of those is current.
Key features#
- Phone stocktakes. Scan barcodes with the phone camera through a page that opens from a QR code. USB scanners and typed counts also work. Binly shows differences in units and value, and Shopify changes only after Apply. How it works.
- Purchase orders and receiving. Create orders by supplier, receive by scan with partial deliveries and rejected units, and print labels. How receiving works.
- Reorder suggestions. Quantities come from sales velocity and each supplier's lead time, grouped by supplier.
- Landed and weighted average cost. Freight, duty and discounts are split across order lines and written to Shopify at receiving. How it works.
- Month-end journals. Stock value and cost of goods sold, exported as import files for QuickBooks Online and Xero.
- Stocky import. Purchase orders and reorder points from Stocky CSV exports. Field by field.
What Binly does not do#
- It does not sync with Amazon, eBay or other marketplaces. It works on Shopify data.
- It does not run deep demand forecasting. Reorders use sales velocity and lead times.
- It does not split landed cost by weight, look up duty rates or track lots.
- It does not post journals into QuickBooks or Xero. It produces files you import.
- The phone camera scanner is for stocktakes. Receiving uses a USB or Bluetooth scanner or a typed SKU.
- It cannot import data that Stocky no longer provides. Stocky's API has been off since 31 August 2026, and its CSV carried no receipt dates or per-delivery supplier cost.
Stocky facts#
Shopify removed Stocky from the App Store on 2 February 2026 and switched it off, API included, on 31 August 2026. It has already shut down. Third-party coverage of Shopify's migration guide reports read-only export access for at least 90 days afterwards, to late November 2026 at the earliest. See the timeline and the export guide.
